Master Cylinder
Rear Master Cylinde r Removal
•
Unscrew the brake hose banjo bolt [A] and brake hose
[B].
•
Remove:
Cotter Pin [C]
Joint Pin [D]
Bolts [E]
Foot Guard [F]
Rear Master Cylinder
•
Slide out the clamp [G].
•
Pull off the reservoir hose lower end [H], and drain the
brake fluid into a container.
Rear Master Cy linder I nstallation
•
Replace the cotter pin with a new one.
•
Replace the washers that are on each side of hose fitting
with new ones.
•
Tighten:
Torque - Rear Master Cylinder Mounting Bolts: 25 N·m (2.5
kgf·m, 18 ft·lb)
BrakeHoseBanjoBolt:25N·m(2.5kgf·m,18ft·lb)
•
Bleed the brake line (see Brake Line Bleeding).
•
Check the brake for good braking power, no brake drag,
and no fluid leakage.
