Cylinder Head C over
Cylinder Head Cover Removal
•
Remove:
Fuel Tank (see Fuel Tank Removal in the Fuel System
(DFI) chapter)
Air Cleaner Housing (see Air Cleaner Housing Removal
in the Fuel System (DFI) chapter)
Air Switching Valve (see Air Switching Valve Removal)
Throttle Body Assy (see Throttle Body Assy Removal in
the Fuel System (DFI) chapter)
Stick Coils (see Stick Coil (Ignition Coil together with
Spark Plug Cap) Removal in the Electrical System chap-
ter)
•
Remove the radiator [A] temporary (see Radiator and Ra-
diator Fan Removal in the Cooling System chapter), free
the heat insulation rubber plate [B].
NOTE
○
Do not remove radiator hoses.
•
Remove the cylinder head cover bolts [C].
•
Remove the cylinder head cover [D] to forward.
Cylinder Head Cover In stallation
•
Replace the head cover gasket [A] with a new one.
•
Apply silicone sealant [B] to the cylinder head as shown.
Sealant - Kawasaki Bond (Silicone Sealant): 92104-0004
•
Be sure to install the following parts.
Dowel Pins [A]
Plug Hole Gaskets [B]
