Camshaft, Camshaft Chain
Cam Wear
•
Remove the camshaft (see Camshaft Removal).
•
Measure the height [A] of each cam with a micrometer.
If the cams are worn down past the service limit, replace
the c amshaft.

35.043 ∼ 35.157 mm (1.3796 ∼ 1.38 41 in.)

35.94 mm (1.376 in.)
Camshaft Chain R emoval
•
Split the crankcase (see Crankcase Splitting in the Crank-
shaft/Transmission chapter).
•
Remove the camshaft chain [A] from the crankshaft
sprocket.
