Radiator Fan System
Radiator Fan Circuit Inspection
•
Remove:
Screw [A]
Left Lower End of Radiator Cover [B]
•
Disconnect the leads from the radiator fan switch [A].
•
Using an auxiliary wire [B], connect the radiator fan switch
leads.
If the fan rotates, inspect the fan switch.
If the fan does not rotate, inspect the following.
Leads and Connectors
Main Fuse and Fan Fuse
Fan Motor
Radiator Fan M otor Inspection
•
Disconnect the connector [A] in the fan lead.
•
Using two auxiliary wires, supply battery [B] voltage to the
fan motor.
If the fan does not rotate, the fan motor is defective and
must be replaced.
Radiator Fan Motor Leads
BL:
Battery (+)
BK:
Battery (–)
Radiator Fan Breaker Inspection
•
Remove:
Seat (see Frame chapter)
Radiator Fan Breaker [A]
•
Inspect the breaker for operation.
•
Connect:
12 V Battery [A]
0.6 Ω Resistance [B]
Radiator Fan B reaker [C]
Switch [D]
If the circuit in the breaker will not open within 60 seconds,
replace the breaker.
