Rear Hub
Rear Hub Removal
•
Remove:
Cap [A]
Cotter Pin [B]
•
Loosen the axle nut [C].
•
Remove:
Wheel (see Wheel Removal)
Axle Nut [A]
Rear Hub [B]
Rear Hub Installation
•
Wipe dry the spline portion of the hub.
•
Wipe dry t he threads and seating surface of the nuts.
•
Tighten:
Torque - Rear Axle Nuts: 265 N·m (27 kgf·m, 195 ft·lb)
•
Insert a new cotter pin [A].
NOTE
○
When inserting the cotter pin, if the slots in the nut do
not align with the cotter pin hole in the axle shaft, tighten
the nut clockwise [B] up to next alignment.
○
It should be within 30 degree.
○
Loosen once and tighten again w hen the s lot goes past
the nearest hole.
•
Bend the cotter pin [A] over the nut.
