ENGINE TOP END 5-25
Camshaft
Remove (right side view):
Torque Converter (see Converter System chapter)
Using a M6 bolt [A], pull out the cover [B].
Remove (left side view):
Circlip [A]
Special Tool - Outside Circlip Pliers: 57001-144
Remove:
Intermediate Shaft Sprocket [B]
Intermediate Shaft Drive Chain [C]
Rear Camshaft Chain [D]
Front Camshaft Chain (right side)
Camshaft Chain Installation
Rear Cam shaft Chain
Align the key grooves [A] on the crankshaft with the em-
bossed line [B] on the crankcase (left side view).
Face the arrow [A] of the rear cam shaft sprocket upward.
Align the marks [B] on the weights with the rear cylinder
head upper surface [C].
Place the rear camshaft chain [D] onto the rear camshaft
sprocket.
Engage the camshaft and intermediate shaft chains on
the i ntermediate shaft sprocket [A] and insert the inter-
mediate shaft (left side view).
Align the punch marks [B] on the intermediate shaft and
sprocket with the embossed mark [C] on the crankcase.
