Brake Pads
Brake Pad Removal
•
Detach the caliper from the disc (see Caliper Removal).
•
Remove:
Pad Mounting Bolts [A]
•
Remove:
Brake Pads [A]
Brake Pad Installation
•
Push the caliper piston in by hand as far as it will go.
•
Be sure that the anti-rattle spring is in place.
•
Install:
Brake Pads
Pad Mounting Bolts
•
Tighten:
Torque - Pad Mounting Bolts: 17 N·m (1.7 kgf·m, 13 ft·lb)
WARNING
Do not attempt to drive the vehicle until a firm brake
lever can be obtained by pumping the brake lever
until the pads are against each disc. The brake w ill
not function on the first application if this is not
done.
