Field Description
Service SetID (SSID) Enter a unique identifier client devices use to
associate with the access point. It can be any
alphanumeric, case-sensitive string, from 2
to 32 characters long.
Several access points on a network or
sub-network can share an SSID.
Allow “Broadcast” SSID to
Associate
From the list, select one of the following:
yes—Allows devices that do not specify
an SSID (devices that are “broadcasting”
in search of an access point to associate
with) to associate with the access point.
no—Does not allow devices that do not
specify an SSID (devices that are
“broadcasting” in search of an access
point to associate with) to associate with
the access point.
With no selected, the SSID used by the
client device must match exactly the
access point’s SSID.
Enable “World Mode”
multi-domain operation?
From the list, select one of the following:
yes—Allows the access point to add
channel carrier set information to its
beacon.
Client devices with world-mode enabled
receive the carrier set information and
adjust their settings automatically.
no—Does not allow the access point to
add channel carrier set information to its
beacon.
