Using Connectivity Tools
The options in the Connectivity Tools window allow you to perform connectivity
tests and find information about devices.
Note Your login determines whether you can use this option.
Procedure
Step 1 Select Administration > Connectivity Tools. The Network Connectivity and
Security Test dialog box appears.
Step 2 Enter a device name or IP address in the Device text box.
Step 3 Click an option button:
Note Pressing Enter will not work. You must click a button.
• Ping—Test device reachability.
• Traceroute—Detect routing errors between the Wireless LAN Solution
Engine and the target device.
• NSLookup—Look up device or host information via the name server. The
information displayed includes server name, server IP address, device name,
and the device IP address.
• TCP Port Scan—Find the active ports on the device.
A results window appears.
Step 4 Click Close to close the results window.
