FRONT FORK AND STEERING STEM UPPER BRACKET
Install the front fork and steering stem upper bracket in the fol-
lowing steps:
1) Install the upper bracket, washer

and steering stem head
nut

temporarily.
NOTE:
Pay
attention to the direction
of
the washer.
2) Position the handlebars on the front forks and tighten the ste-
ering stem head nut
(2).

Steering stem head nut: 90 N·m (9.0 kgf-m, 65 Ib-ft)
3) Tighten the front fork upper and lower clamp bolts and brake
hose clamp bolt. (c::::rS-21)
• Remount the handlebars. (c::::rS-31)
• Install the front wheel. (c::::rS-10)
• Install the steering damper. (c::::rS-23)
