• Remove the dust seal cover 1, dust seal 2, steering stem
upper bearing inner race 3 and bearing 4.
INSPECTION AND DISASSEMBLY
Inspect the removed parts for the following abnormalities.
* Handlebars distortion
* Race wear and brinelling
* Bearing wear or damage
* Abnormal noise of bearing
If any abnormal points are found, replace defective parts with
the new ones.
• Remove the steering stem lower bearing inner race with a
chisel.
• Drive out the steering stem bearing outer races (upper and
lower) using the steel rod.
The removed bearing inner race must be replaced with
a new one.
The removed bearing outer race must be replaced with
a new one.
