Electrode Resistance Out
of Spec
Moisture in the terminal block of the
sensor
• Perform sensor tests - see Table 9-8 on page 168
• If the problem persists, replace the sensor
Electrode coating
• Enable coated electrode detection diagnostic
• Use bullet-nose electrodes
• Downsize sensor to increases flowrate above 3 ft/s (1 m/s)
•Periodically clean sensor
Shorted electrodes
• Perform sensor tests - see Table 9-8 on page 168
• If the problem persists, replace the sensor
Analog Output Out of
Spec
Unstable flow rate during the
verification test or noisy process
• Run manual transmitter verification test with no flow and a full pipe
Analog output is no longer within
accuracy specifications
• Check the analog loop wiring. Excessive loop resistance can cause an
invalid test
