Installing a Macintosh LAN Report Service
To view reports on your Macintosh clients, you must run the Macintosh
LAN support report service from your server. To install Macintosh LAN
report service, complete the following steps:
1. Log on to your server as a user with administrative rights.
2. Open the ResultsManager\SuccessMaker\Mac\LanSupport
folder.
3. Double-click Setup.exe to run the installer.
4. At the Welcome page, click Next.
5. At the Choose Destination Location page, click Browse.
6. Type or select the path of the SME folder, and then click Next.
7. The Information page appears. Click Next.
8. In the Mac LAN Setup page, do the following:
Database Information
•IP: Type the IP address of the server hosting your Sybase
service.
•Port: Type the port number of your Sybase service port. The
default is 2638.
• Name: Type SME.
Report Server Information
• Unique Service Name: Type SME.
•Port: Type the port number of the Macintosh printer service
port. The default is 2880.
9. Click Next. The Logon Information page appears.
10. Click Browse. The Browse for User Account dialog box appears.
11. Click Browse. The Select a Username dialog box appears.
12. Select a user with administrative rights, and then click OK.
13. Click OK.
14. In the Password box, type the password, and then click Next.
15. When the installation is complete, click Finish.
16. The server related tasks are now complete. You must now set up
your Macintosh workstations. Go to the next section.
