Creating an ODBC Data Source
In order to generate and print reports from SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6,
workstations must be equipped with an ODBC system data source that
connects to the SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 database and pulls data into
the report templates. Pearson Digital Learning recommends performing the
following procedure at every workstation that will be using SuccessMaker
Enterprise v1.6.
1. At the ODBC Data Source prompt, click Yes. The ODBC Setup
page appears.
2. Type the information as described below:
Database Information
•IP: Type your server’s IP address.
• Database Name: Type SME.
•Data Source Name: Type SME.
• User Name: Type reports.
• Password: Type reports.
3. Click Next.
Note:
If you see an error message, click
OK
. Check the
database information you entered in Step 2, verify
everything is correct and then retry. The common cause of
the ODBC setup failure is incorrect database information.
4. Click OK.
5. You must now select a courseware media type. Go to the next
section.
