Installing Native File Access for Macintosh
Workstations
To install native file access for Macintosh workstations on your Novell
server, complete the following steps:
1. On the Console screen, click Novell, and then click Install. A
dialog box displaying a list of installed products appears.
2. Insert the Novell Netware 6 CD into the CD drive.
3. Press CTRL+ESC.
4. The Current Screens menu appears. Select System Console.
5. At the console prompt, type CDROM. This makes the CDROM a
Netware volume.
6. Press CTRL+ESC. The Current Screens menu appears.
7. Select X-Server - Graphical Console.
8. On the Console screen, click Novell, and then click Install. A
dialog box displaying a list of installed products appears.
9. In the dialog box displaying the list of installed products, click
Add. The Source Path dialog box appears.
10. Click the Browse icon and select the Netware6 volume and the
product.ni file.
11. Click OK. The Source Path dialog box appears.
12. Click OK.
13. The Components dialog box appears. Clear all the check boxes and
select the Native File Access Pack check box.
14. Click Next. The system prompts you to login with your Admin
username, password and context.
15. Click OK. The LDAP Configuration page appears.
16. Click Next. The Components page appears.
17. Clear all the check boxes and select the Native File Access for
Macintosh check box.
18. Click Next. The Summary page appears. The Summary page
displays Native File Access and Port Resolver.
19. Click Finish.
20. Click CTRL+ESC.
21. Select System Console, and then press ENTER.
