148 Updating Stand-Alone Workstations to SME v1.6 SME v1.6 Enterprise Local Server Installation Guide
Installation Overview
1. Log on to the stand-alone workstation as a user with
administrative rights.
2. Back up the existing SuccessMaker Enterprise database folder. See
“Backing Up the Existing Database Folder” on page 149.
3. Stop the Sybase 8.0.2.4339 Database service. See “Stopping the
Sybase Database Service” on page 150.
4. Insert the SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 Management System
Setup - School CD into the CD drive and follow the on-screen
instructions to update to the SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 system.

5. Restart the Sybase Database Service. See “Restarting the Sybase
