Installing the EBF Patch
If you are updating your server from the SuccessMaker Enterprise 1.2
system, you must first update your database service to Sybase 8.0.2.4339. To
install the EBF patch, complete the following steps:
Note: If you are not updating from SuccessMaker Enterprise 1.2, go to the
“Stopping the Sybase Database NLM” section below.
1. Go to the file server.
Note: Ensure that no user is running the SuccessMaker
Enterprise application.
2. At the Console prompt, press CTRL+ESC. This displays all the
screens that are currently running. Select the screen number for
ASA 8.0.2 (3601) - School.
3. Press Q to stop the Sybase Database service.
4. From the SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 Management Setup CD,
open the Sybase4339\NetWare folder and run the setup.exe file.
5. At the Welcome page, click Next. The Current location page
appears.
6. Type or select the location of the existing installation of SQL
Anywhere 8 for NetWare, and then click Next. The Choose
Destination Location page appears.
7. Type or select the folder containing the setup files, and then click
Next.
8. At the Select Components page, click Next. The Start Copying
Files page appears.
9. Click Next.
10. Click Finish to complete the setup.
11. You must now restart the Sybase Database NLM. Go to the next
section.
