Creating User Accounts and Groups
Pearson Digital Learning recommends that you create the user accounts
listed in the table below. Pearson Digital Learning also recommends that you
create the SMusers group and assign the SMstudent and SMteacher users as
members of that group.
Note: You must create user accounts and groups using the NWadmin
utility. To use the NWadmin utility you must install the NetWare NDS client
on your workstation.
Creating User Accounts
1. From a Windows workstation, connect to your server as a user
with administrative rights.
2. Run Nwadmn32.exe from the sys:public\win32 folder. The List of
objects window appears.
3. On the Object menu, click Create.
4. In the New Object dialog box, click User, and then click OK.
5. In the Create User dialog box, type SMstudent in the Login name
box and in the Last name box.

SMteacher (Optional) Teacher User
SMadmin SM*FE
Engineer User. Give this user
admin-equivalent rights, if
possible, or full rights to the
volume and path for SME and the
System folder under the SYS
volume.
