Installation Overview
To update to the SuceessMaker Enterprise v1.6 program, complete the
following steps:
1. Make a back up of your existing database. See “Backing Up the
Existing Database Folder” on page 175.
2. Stop your Sybase database NLM. See “Stopping the Sybase
Database NLM” on page 177.
3. Install the SuccessMaker update. See “Installing the SuccessMaker
Enterprise v1.6 Update” on page 177.
4. Restart your Sybase database service. See “Restarting the Sybase
Database NLM” on page 179.
5. Install a Macintosh LAN Report service. See “Installing a
Macintosh LAN Report Service” on page 180.
6. Modifying User Rights. See “Modifying SuccessMaker Enterprise
User File Rights” on page 183.
7. Update SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 client. See “Updating
