Stopping the Sybase Database Service
To stop the Sybase Database Service, complete the following steps:
1. In the notification area at the far right side of the taskbar on your
desktop, double-click the SME Database icon. The Adaptive
Server Anywhere dialog box appears.
2. Click Shutdown.
3. You must now install the SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 update.

Update
1. Insert the SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 Management System
Setup - School CD into the CD drive.
2. On the taskbar, click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type D:\Setup.exe (where D: is the drive letter of your CD drive),
and then click OK. The Welcome page appears.
4. Click Next. The Setup Instructions page appears.
5. Click Yes. The Choose Installation Type page appears.
6. Select the Standalone Installation option, and then click Next. The
Choose the Setup Type page appears.
