Updating Stand-Alone
Workstations to SME v1.6
Overview
The following chapter explains how to update SuccessMaker Enterprise
stand-alone configurations from versions 1.2 - 1.5 with Service Pack 1 to
version 1.6.
To update your workstation you must be at SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.2 or
higher. If you have an earlier version of SuccessMaker Enterprise (1.0 or 1.1),
you must first update to v1.2, and then update to v1.6.
Note: During the update process Pearson Digital Learning recommends that
you back up your database and log file. This backup is used only if a
problem arises during the update process and you need to restore your
SuccessMaker Enterprise system to the previous version.
Check the size of your ResultsManager folder. The free space on the drive to
which you will install SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 must be 2.5 times the
size of the ResultsManager folder.
If you are updating your workstation from the SuccessMaker Enterprise 1.2
system, you must first update your database service to Sybase 8.0.2.4339. For
more information, see “Installing the EBF Patch” on page 10.
