13. In the Product Registration page, do the following:
• In the Lab Name box, type the lab name of your school.
• In the Lab Number box, type the lab number of your school.
• In the DatabaseID box, leave the default settings. To change
the autogenerated id, select the database Id, and then press
DELETE. Type the database id of your server.
14. Click Next, the Product Registration Summary page appears.
15. The Setup Completed page appears.
16. Select the View log files check box if you want to view the log
files, and then click Finish.
You must now install the Sybase SQL Anywhere Studio 8 software and the
EBF patch on your server.
Installing and Configuring the Sybase Service
To install Sybase 8.0.2.4339, complete the following steps:
1. From a Windows workstation, log on to the server as the SMadmin
user.
2. Install Sybase SQL Anywhere Studio 8. See “Installing Sybase
8.0.2.3601” on page 108.
3. Install the EBF patch to update Sybase 8.0.2.3601 to Sybase
8.0.2.4339. See “Installing the EBF Patch” on page 109.
4. Configure the Sybase database service. See “Configuring Sybase
NLM” on page 110.
5. Verify the installation and configuration of the Sybase database
service. See “Verifying the Sybase Installation” on page 111.
Installing Sybase 8.0.2.3601
1. From a Windows workstation, log on to your NetWare server as
the SMadmin user or as a user with admin-equivalent rights.
2. Insert the SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.2 Sybase Server
Component CD into the CD drive.
If the CD does not auto-play, click Start on the taskbar, and then
click Run. Type D:\Demo32.exe (where D: is the drive letter of
your CD drive), and then click OK.
3. Click Sybase 8.0.2.3601 for NetWare.
