Polycom RealPresence Resource Manager System Operations Guide Dynamically Managing a Polycom RealPresence
322 Polycom, Inc.
Create a Site Provisioning Profile that includes the
RealPresence Access Director System
You can dynamically provision a RealPresence Access Director system with
the respective site provisioning profile.
A site provisioning profile for a site that includes a RealPresence Access
Director system can provision network settings both the RealPresence Access
Director system as well as any endpoints that are in the site.
Provisioning the RealPresence Access Director System
Use the following two tabs to provision the network settings for the
RealPresence Access Director system. Tabs not listed here are used to
provision endpoints within the site.
RPAD Settings
RPAD Settings 2
The RealPresence Access Director system should be configured with the IP
addresses of the Polycom DMA system as the gatekeeper and SIP server
within your environment.
Provisioning Endpoints
Dynamically managed endpoints within the same site as a RealPresence
Access Director system need to be provisioned to use the RealPresence Access
Director system IP address for all of their network settings.
For example, instead of the IP address of the DMA system’s gatekeeper, you
should provision endpoints to use the external IP address of the RealPresence
Access Director system as the gatekeeper IP.
See the Polycom RealPresence Access Director System Administrator’s Guide for
more information about provisioning the RealPresence Access Director
system.
For more information about creating a site provisioning profile, see “Site
Provisioning Profiles” on page 227.
Create a User Account for the RealPresence Access Director
System
You need to create a user account for RealPresence Access Director system to
use to authenticate with the RealPresence Resource Manager system’s
provisioning service.
You cannot use the same site for more than one RealPresence Access Director
system. You must create a unique site for each RealPresence Access Directory
system that you use.
