Polycom RealPresence Resource Manager System Operations Guide Setting up Endpoint Naming and Number
226 Polycom, Inc.
3 Upload the bundled provisioning profiles you want to use. You can do
this by configuring selected HDX and RealPresence Group systems with
the user experience settings you want and then upload the bundled
provisioning profile for the model to the RealPresence Resource Manager
system.
See “Using Bundled Provisioning Profiles” on page 253.
4 If you choose to create Access Control Lists, endpoints not included in an
Access Control List cannot be dynamically provisioned.
See “Using Access Control Lists” on page 269.
Setting up Endpoint Naming and Number Schemes
You can enforce a system naming scheme as well as an E.164 number naming
scheme for all endpoints that are dynamically managed.
If you choose to provision H.323 settings through a site provisioning profile,
you can also define the E.164 number and system naming scheme used for
endpoints.
For more information about site provisioning, see “Using Site Provisioning
Profiles” on page 227.
Provisioning in a Multi-Tenancy Environment
Polycom recommends using dynamic provisioning in a multi-tenancy
environment where some endpoints may reside outside the firewall.
Dynamic provisioning is client-to-server over HTTPS which makes it more
secure and firewall-friendly.
