Connecting Rod Removal
.Remove the crankshaft-
.Remove the connecting rods from the crankshaft.
NOTE
0 Mark and record the locations of the connecting rods
and their big end caps so that they can be reassembled
in their original positions.

.Apply engine oil to the big end bearing inserts.
.Tighten the big end cap nuts to the specified torque
(see Exploded View).

.Measure the bearing insert/crankpin clearance with a
plastigage.

o Tighten the big end cap nuts to the specified torque

ODo not move the connecting rod and crankshaft during
clearance measurement.
