Junction Box
Fuse Inspection
.Remove the fuse (see Fuse Removal).
.Inspect the fuse element.
* If it is blown out replace the fuse. Before replacing a
blown fuse, always check the amperage in the affected
circuit. If the amperage is equal to or greater than the
fuse rating, check the wiring and related components for
a short circuit.
The junction box has fuses, relays, and diodes.
relays and diodes can not be removed.
The
Fuse Removal
.Remove the seats (see Frame chapter).
.Unlock the hook to lift up the locking arm-
.Pull the fuses straight out of the junction box with
needle nose pliers.
.Pull out the main fuse from the starter relay.
Fuse
Junction Box Fuse Circuit Inspection
.Remove the junction box (see Fuse Removal).
.Pull off the connectors from the junction box.
.Make sure all connector terminals are clean and tight
and none of them have been bent.
*Clean the dirty terminals, and straighten slightly-bent
terminals.
.Check conductivity of the numbered terminals with the
hand tester (special tool).
*If the tester dose not read as specified, replace the
junction box.
