gauge and/or wiring.

Water Temperature Gauge Operation Inspection

.Check the water temperature gauge circuit wiring (see
Wiring Inspection).
.If all wiring and components other than the water
temperature gauge unit check out good, the gauge is
defective.
Gauge Operation Test
Ignition Switch Position: ON
Wire location: Water temperature sensor
female connector
(disconnected)
Results: Gauge should read C when sensor wire
is opened.
Gauge should read H when sensor wire
is grounded to engine.
.Prepare an auxiliary wire, and check the operation of the
gauge.
