Nearest Airspaces
Press ENT to place the frequency on standby.
Press the COM or VLOC flip-flop key to
activate the selected frequency.Navigation
frequencies for ILS and localizer (LOC) also
appear on the list.
6. Press COM or VLOC flip-flop key, as appropri-
ate, to activate the selected frequency.
7. Press the small right knob to remove the
flashing cursor.
Nearest Airspace Page
The last page in the NRST group, the Nearest Air-
space Page, alerts you to as many as nine controlled or
special use airspaces near or in your flight path. Alerts
are provided according to the following conditions:
• Ifyourprojectedcoursewilltakeyouinside
an airspace within the next ten minutes, the
alert message “Airspace ahead -- less than 10
minutes” appears. The Nearest Airspace Page
shows the airspace as “Ahead”.
• Ifyouarewithintwonauticalmilesofan
airspace and your current course will take you
inside, the message “Airspace near and ahead
appears. The Nearest Airspace Page shows the
airspace as “Ahead < 2nm”.
“Airspace near and ahead” indicates that you
are within two nautical miles of an airspace
and projected to enter the airspace.
• Ifyouarewithintwonauticalmilesofan
airspace and your current course will not take
you inside, the message “Near airspace less
than 2nm” appears. The Nearest Airspace Page
shows “Within 2nm of airspace”.
“Near airspace less than 2NM” indicates
that you are within two nautical miles of an
airspace, but are NOT projected to enter the
airspace.
• Ifyouhaveenteredanairspace,themessage
Inside Airspace” appears. The Nearest Air-
space Page shows “Inside of airspace”.
Note that the airspace alerts are based on three-
dimensional data (latitude, longitude and altitude) to
avoid nuisance alerts. The alert boundaries for con-
