WEATHER FUNCTION
Tap the soft key on the Aviation Main Menu page to enter
the weather page.
Hardware Accessory
The AV8OR unit will work with either the WxWorx REWX91D XM
receiver or the certified KDR 610 XM receiver. See Device Setup
Section of this document.
The XM Weather receiver is used to receive the weather information
which in then displayed on the screen.
NOTE: In order to use this feature, the user must purchase and
activate a subscription from XM Satellite Radio (XM).
Receiving Weather Data
The AV8OR system connects with the WxWorx REWX91D XM
receiver through the Bluetooth interface or either of the XM receivers
through the serial (RS 232) interface to receive weather data from
the XM Satellite Radio network.
The following products are supported by the AV8OR:
• NEXRAD
• Satellite Mosaic
• TAFs
• METARs
• Severe Wx Storm Tracking
• Airmets
• Sigmets
• Convective Sigmets
If no data has been received from the XM receiver, a caution
message will be displayed.
