ENGINE ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT
Turn the crankshaft counterclockwise until
the TDC mark 3 is aligned with the station-
ary pointer 4 on the crankcase cover.
Place the timing chain onto the cam
sprocket.
Install the cam sprocket onto the cam-
shaft, and finger tighten the sprocket bolt.
NOTE:
When installing the cam sprocket, keep
the timing chain as tense as possible on
the exhaust side.
Align the pelete mark 5 on the cam
sprocket with the stationary pointer 2 on
the cylinder head.
Insert your into the timing chain tensioner
hole, and push the timing chain damper
inward.
While pushing the timing chain damper,
be sure cam sprocket match mark 5 align
the cylinder head match mark 2.
If marks is aligned, tighten the cam
sprocket bolt.
NOTE:
Hold the starter pulley 6 by the Rotor
Holder to tighten the bolt of the cam
sprocket.
If marks do not align, change the meshing
position of sprocket and chain.
Remove a safety wire 7 from the timing
chain.

10.Install:
Timing chain tensioner assembly

Installation steps:
Remove the chain tensioner cap 1 from
the chain tensioner assembly 2.
