INSPECTION AND REPAIR
Clutch boss and pressure plate
1.Inspect:
● Clutch boss splines 1
● Pressure plate splines 2
Scoring/Wear/Damage → Replace clutch
boss assembly and/or pressure plate.
Friction plates
1.Inspect:
● Friction plate 1
Damage/Wear → Replace friction plate as
a set.
2.Measure:
● Friction plate thickness
Measure at all four points.
Out of specification → Replace friction
plate as a set.
Wear limit:
2.8 mm (0.110 in)
Clutch plates
1.Measure:
● Clutch plate warpage
Use the surface plate and the Feeler
Gauge 1.
Out of specification → Replace.
Warp limit:
0.2 mm (0.008 in)
Push rod and push rod bearing
1.Inspect:
● Bearing 1 (push rod)
Roughness/Sluggishness → Replace.
● Push rod 2
● Bearing holder 3
Wear/Damage → Replace.
