5.Align:
● “T” mark on the rotor
With the stationary pointer on the crank-
case cover.

TDC alignment steps:
●Turn the crankshaft counterclockwise with
wrench.
●Align the “T” mark 1 on the rotor with
the stationary pointer 2 on the crankcase
cover. When the “T” mark is aligned with
the stationary pointer, the piston is at Top
Dead Center (TDC).
NOTE:
TDC on compression stroke check:
● Both rocker arms must have a valve clear-
ance when the cam sprocket match mark
3 is aligned with the cylinder head match
mark 4.
● If not, give the crankshaft one counter-
clockwise turn too meet above condition.

6.Loosen:
● Cap bolt 1 (chain tensioner)
7.Remove:
● Chain tensioner 2
