CLEANING THE V-BELT CASE AIR FILTER
ELEMENT
1. Remove:
8V-belt case cover
8V-belt case air filter guide 1
8V-belt case air filter element 2
2. Clean:
8V-belt case air filter element
(with solvent)
TIP
After cleaning, carefully pat the V-belt case air
filter element on a clean cloth to remove the ex-
cess solvent.
3. Check:
8V-belt case air filter element
Damage J Replace.
CLEANING THE V-BELT CASE AIR FILTER ELEMENT
4. Apply the recommended oil to the entire
surface of the V-belt case air filter element
and then carefully pat the V-belt case air fil-
ter element on a clean cloth to remove the
excess oil. The V-belt case air filter element
should be wet but not dripping.
Recommended oil
Engine oil
5. Install:
8V-belt case air filter element
8V-belt case air filter guide
7Nm (0.7m • kgf, 5.1ft • lbf)
8V-belt case cover
7Nm (0.7m • kgf, 5.1ft • lbf)
