ALERT LEVEL DEFINITIONS
The G1000 Alerting System, as installed in Beechcraft A36/G36 aircraft, uses three alert levels.
WARNING: This level of alert requires immediate attention.
Warning alert text is accompanied by a continuous chime and a flashing ‘WARNING’ Softkey annunciation
(see Figure A-3). Pressing the WARNING Softkey acknowledges the presence of the warning alert and stops
the aural chime.
CAUTION: This level of alert indicates the existence of abnormal conditions on the aircraft that may require
intervention.
Caution alert text is accompanied by a single chime and a flashing ‘CAUTION’ Softkey annunciation (see
Figure A-3). Pressing the CAUTION Softkey acknowledges the presence of the caution alert.
ANNUNCIATION OR MESSAGE ADVISORY: This level of alert provides general information.
An annunciation alert is accompanied by a flashing ‘ADVISORY Softkey annunciation (see Figure A-3).
Pressing the ADVISORY Softkey acknowledges the presence of the annunciation alert.
Message advisory alerts issue a flashing ‘ADVISORY’ Softkey annunciation (see Figure A-3). Pressing the
ADVISORY Softkey acknowledges the presence of the message advisory alert and displays the alert text
message in the Alerts Window.

AIRCRAFT ALERTS
The following alerts are configured specifically for the Beechcraft A36/G36. Red annunciation window
text signifies warnings and yellow, cautions, and white, annunciation advisories. See the AFM/POH for
recommended pilot actions.
WARNING ANNUNCIATION
Annunciation Text Alerts Window Message Audio Alert
GEAR UP Gear up with power below 12in Hg or flaps down. Continuous Tone (received through the
G1000 audio from another source)
ALT 1 INOP Alternator 1 offline. Repeating Tone
ALT 2 INOP Alternator 2 offline. Repeating Tone
ALT 1-2 INOP Alternators 1 and 2 offline. Repeating Tone
FUEL FLOW HI Fuel flow is greater than 27.4 gph. Repeating Tone
FUEL QTY LO L or R fuel qty is at zero. Repeating Tone
CHT HI CHT is greater than 238 deg C. Repeating Tone
OIL TEMP HI Oil temp is greater than 116 deg C. Repeating Tone
OIL PRESS HI Oil pressure is greater than 100 psi. Repeating Tone
OIL PRESS LO Oil pressure is less than 10 psi. Repeating Tone
