10.16.1 Multi-Stop route
Note: This function is available only when
the navigation device is correctly inserted in its cradle.
the vehicle ignition is on.
GPS reception is good enough to determine the current position.
The Multi-Stop route considers charging stations along the route and
includes essential charging stops in the route calculation if the
destination is not within range. Consideration is given to all private
charging stations (Favourites) as well as to the public charging stations
recorded in the map.
Calculation of a Multi-Stop route is offered in the following
circumstances:
With the vehicle's current driving range you cannot reach the
destination.
With the vehicle's current driving range you can reach the
destination, but from there you cannot reach a charging station.
Before navigation begins you will be presented with a window in which
you can choose between a Multi-Stop route or the current route.
Tap on Multi-Stop route to have the system calculate a route with
the necessary charging stops.
Note: If the destination of the Multi-Stop route is not saved as a public
or private charging station, you will be asked at the beginning of the
navigation whether you can charge your vehicle there (see "Saving the
destination of a Multi-Stop route as a private charging station" on
page 102).
Note: The calculation of a Multi-Stop route can take far longer than the
calculation of a normal route.
