Messages
The GPS V uses an on-screen message system to alert
you to unit operating characteristics. Press the ENTER key
to acknowledge the message and return to the page you
were viewing.
Anchor Drag - You have drifted beyond the specifi ed
anchor drag alarm distance.
Arriving at Destination - You have arrived at the
destination location.
Can’t Unlock Maps - At least one map on the data card
is locked.
Data Transfer Complete - Transfer of data to the unit
from PC software has been completed.
Database Error - A waypoint or route failed to store in
memory. If the problem persists, return the unit to Garmin
for service.
Detail Maps Don’t Support Routing - The MapSource
maps that have been downloaded and saved into the GPS V’s
memory do NOT support automatic routing.
GPS Turned Off for Indoor Use - GPS satellite recep-
tion has been disabled for indoor use.
Low Battery - The batteries are low and should be
replaced.
Memory is Full - The unit’s memory is full. To
reduce the amount of memory used, delete unused routes,
waypoints, or track log data.
Near Proximity Point - You have entered the alarm
radius for the proximity waypoint indicated.
No Diff GPS Location - No differential correction data
is available or not enough data is available to compute a
DGPS position.
None Found - A search through MapSource data, using
the selected criteria, has produced no matching results.
Note Memory is Full - Calendar note memory is full.
No additional calendar notes can be stored without deleting
old notes to create memory space.
Off Route - You have ventured off the current route.
Off Route Recalculating - You have ventured off the
current route and the GPS V is calculating a new route.
Poor Coverage - The GPS V cannot acquire the neces-
sary number of satellites to compute your location.
Proximity Memory Full - Proximity waypoint memory
is full. No additional proximity waypoints can be stored
without deleting old waypoints to create memory space.
