Route calculation
Calculating the route
The map showing the selected
destination is displayed. The screen
shows one of the following messages:
• ‘Destination confirmed’,
• ‘Press ENTER to confirm destination’,
• ‘Press ENTER to confirm destination
or F3 to select as a Way Point’.
Destination confirmation
To confirm the screen prompt (If
required), press one of the following
buttons:
ENTER
– The screen briefly shows
‘Destination confirmed’ and the route to
the destination is calculated.
F3 (WayPt.)
– The screen briefly shows
‘Point stored’ and the way point will be
added to the way points list.
Note:
1. The map location can be adjusted
if required. Before confirmation,
use the Cursor control to scroll
the map until the desired
location is under the cross-wire
marker.
2. If a way point is stored after a
destination has been set, the
route will be recalculated.
Calculation
While the route is being calculated the
screen shows ‘Searching’. When the
calculation is complete, the screen
shows the map display while under
guidance, see
Route guidance
on page
6-2.
Route preferences
– If selected, the
current route preferences are displayed.
To change a preference, press
F3 (Replan) while the route is being
calculated. See
Display selection
on
page 3-6. After entry, the route will be
recalculated.
