Installing Add-On Applications
In addition to the applications that came with your handheld, you can install other applications (called add-on applications) using
the Install Tool during a HotSync
®
operation. Add-on applications reside in RAM memory and can be removed at any time; for
information, see “Removing Applications” later in this chapter.
Some third-party applications are included on the iQue Setup disk. Just click the applications you want to add to your iQue, and
they will be installed the next time you perform a HotSync operation.
A variety of additional third-party applications, such as games and other software, are available for your device from the following
Web site:
http://www.palmsource.com/applications.
To install add-on applications onto your handheld:
1. From your personal computer, copy or download the applications you want to install into the add-on folder in your Palm
™
Desktop
directory or into another folder you can find easily.
2. If the application is compressed, decompress the application before continuing.
3. Double-click the Palm Desktop icon on your computer desktop to open it; then click Install.
