Waypoints and Detours
The Navigation System lets you add a waypoint to your route. A waypoint is
an intermediate location on your route. Waypoints are entered the same way
destinations are. Once you reach your waypoint, you are asked if you want to
proceed to your original destination. You can add only one waypoint to a
route.
Waypoints
The Waypoint feature is only available when a destination has been entered.
You can add a waypoint using the map or by selecting a destination.
To add a waypoint from the map:

On the map, tap and hold on the waypoint location. A popup menu
appears.

. Your route is recalculated and shown on the map.
