Combining and Using Pioneer AV Equipment
TROL:INTERNAL” or the auxiliary “S.W. CON-
TROL:EXTERNAL”.
Even if you change this setting, there is no
output unless you switch the non fading out-
put (refer to page 83) or subwoofer output
(refer to page 83) in the audio menu on.
If you change the subwoofer controller, sub-
woofer output and non fading output in the
audio menu return to the factory settings.
Both rear speaker leads output and RCA rear
output are switched simultaneously in this
setting mode.
1 Press 5 or to select “REAR SPEAKER”
from the INITIAL SETTINGS MENU, and
press the A.MENU (AUDIO) button.

SPEAKER:FULL” (full-range speaker) and
REAR SPEAKER:SUBWOOFER” (sub-
woofer).
When no subwoofer is connected to the
rear output, select “REAR
SPEAKER:FULL”.
When a subwoofer is connected to the rear
output, set for subwoofer “REAR
SPEAKER:SUBWOOFER”.
When the rear output setting is “REAR
SPEAKER:SUBWOOFER”, you cannot
change the subwoofer controller.

TROL:EXTERNAL”.
Switching the Muting/Attenua-
tion
When the navigation outputs the guidance voice,
or when a mute signal has been received from
the yellow/black lead connected to the Pioneer
AV Head Unit, the audio volume is muted or
attenuated.
This function is activated in the following condi-
tion:
When “MUTE” or “ATT” is selected in the
mute setting.
When “On” is selected in “Mute Setting”.

The sound is turned off, “MUTE” is displayed
and no audio adjustments are possible.
The sound is attenuated, “ATT” is displayed
and no audio adjustments, except volume
control, are possible.
Operation returns to normal when the phone
connection is ended or when the navigation
guidance and voice operation are ended.
The guidance voice of navigation isn’t muted
or attenuated when a call is made or received.
