Compass Page
During active navigation, the Compass page guides you to your
destination with a graphic compass display and a bearing pointer.
Press PAGE repeatedly to display the Compass page.

Data Fields
The middle of the page features a rotating “compass ring” that
shows your course over ground (track) while you are moving. Your
present course over ground is indicated at the top of the compass
ring. The direction of the destination (bearing) relative to the course
over ground is indicated by an arrow in the middle of the compass
ring and a bearing “bug” on the outside of the compass ring.
If the arrow points up, you are going directly to the waypoint. If the
arrow points any direction other than up, turn toward the arrow until
it points up, then continue in that direction.
NOTE: You must be moving for the compass to accurately
update and display your heading.
Turning On the Compass Page
The Compass page is on by default in Marine Mode but off by
default in Automotive Mode.
To show the Compass page in Automotive Mode:
1. Press MENU twice to display the Main Menu.
2. Use the Rocker key to highlight the Display tab.
3. Highlight the Compass page field and press ENTER. Select
On and press ENTER.
Compass Page Options
The options menu on the Compass page allows you to customize the
Compass page to your preferences. Like the Map page, the Compass
page features user-selectable data fields. For definitions of data field
options, refer to page 116. When the Compass page is open, press
MENU to open the options menu.
Show Course Pointer—displays the Course Pointer that shows how
to get back on course.
Show Bug Indicator—displays the bearing bug indicator (the
purple tick mark on the compass ring).
