# You can mute the selectedspeaker unit by
touching MUTE OFF. To cancel muting, touch
MUTE ON.
Notes
! Selecting cut-off frequencies setscut-off fre-
quencies of the subwoofers L.P.F. (low-pass
filter) and that of theSMALL speaker H.P.F.
(high-pass filter). Thecut-off frequency setting
has no effect if thesubwoofer is set to OFF
and other speakers areset to LARGE or OFF.
! If trying to boost the bass outputof the sub-
woofer doesnt do much orrather makes you
feel that the bassgets more murky, this may
indicate that the subwoofers output and bass
content you hear overother speakers cancel
each other out. To remove thisproblem, try
changing the phase settingfor the subwoofer.
! You can store the adjustedsetting in memory
by using MEMORY. For detailsconcerning op-
eration, refer toStoring the adjusted audio set-
tings in memory on page 91.
Using the time alignment
The time alignment lets you adjust the dis-
tance between each speaker and the listening
position.
Recalling time alignment settings
% Touch TIME ALIGNMENT on the sound
setting menu to select the time alignment.
Touch TIME ALIGNMENT repeatedly to switch
between the following time alignment set-
tings:
INITIALAUTOCUSTOM1CUSTOM2
CUSTOM3LAST MEMORYOFF
# You can select LASTMEMORY only whenthe
adjusted time alignmentsetting is not memorized
in this unit.
# You cannot select AUTOwhen NETWORK
has been selected. (Refer to Switching theDSP
setting mode on page104.)
# When STANDARD hasbeen selected, you
cannot select AUTOif auto TA and EQ has not
been carried out.
Adjusting the time alignment
You can adjust the distance between each
speaker and the selected position.
! An adjusted time alignment can be memor-
ized in CUSTOM1, CUSTOM2 or
CUSTOM3.
1 Recall the time alignment setting you
want to adjust.
Refer to Recalling time alignment settings on
this page.
2 Touch ADJ. next to TIME ALIGNMENT
on the sound setting menu.
# You cannot adjust thetime alignment when
neither FRONT LEFT norFRONT RIGHT is se-
lected in the positionselector mode.
