INSTALLING THE SHIFT FORKS AND SHIFT
DRUM ASSEMBLY
1. Install:
• Transmission “1”
• Shift fork 1 (L) “2”
• Shift fork 2 (C)
• Shift fork 3 (R) “3”
• Shift drum assembly “4”
• Shift fork guide bar “5”
• Spacer
• Right crankcase
TIP
The embossed marks on the shift forks should
face towards the left side of the engine and be
in the following sequence: “L”, “C”, “R”.
2. Check:
• Shift cam operation
Unsmooth operation → Repair.
TIP
Check the transmission and shift forks for
smooth operation by turning the shift cam with
your hand.
