INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the MAP 410. Since introducing the
world’s first commercial, hand-held GPS receiver, Magellan has led the way
with innovative GPS products to meet a wide range of positioning and
navigation needs.
The MAP 410 is a portable, cartographic GPS receiver with a high-
resolution display that represents your location and all of your surroundings.
The powerful 12-channel receiver is compact and lightweight for easy use
while making your way outdoors. You’ll be able to navigate to destinations
all over the world using the MAP 410’s internal map with waypoints,
navaids and points of interest. Now getting to your favorite destination can
be done with the press of a few buttons.
Designed with both the Outdoor and Marine enthusiasts in mind, the MAP
410 is ideal for hiking, mapping your favorite fishing hole, marking trails or
charting courses over land or water. To help you get started using you MAP
410, read the Getting Started and Basic Operation sections of this manual.
These two sections will have you recording waypoints and navigating in no
time at all. The remainder of this manual gives you detailed information
about all the features and functions available in your MAP 410.
Packing List
Before you begin using your new unit, make sure that all the items listed on
the MAP 410 box are included. If any of the items are missing or damaged,
