Magellan MAP 410 GPS Receiver User Manual

Magellan MAP 410 GPS Receiver 13
THE POSITION SCREEN
The POSITION screen displays the coordinates of your last computed
position and basic navigation data. You also have the option of viewing
your present position using another coordinate system.
Viewing Secondary Coordinate System from the POSITION Screen
From the POSITION screen, press the LEFT/RIGHT
ARROWs and the lower half of the screen changes to
display your present position in secondary coordinate
system. The datums that were selected under SETUP
for each coordinate system are also displayed.
Averaging in the POSITION Screen
When navigating, your MAP 410 takes
position fixes. However, when you are
stationary, at zero speed, the receiver
begins averaging mode. When
averaging, the receiver continuously
takes fixes and combines them to create
an average, giving you a more accurate
position fix. Once you begin moving,
position averaging ends and the receiver
begins displaying instantaneous position
fixes while you navigate.
