➲ By using the Settings menu, you can change the conditions for route calculation. For the
details, see Chapter 6 “Route No.”, “Fastest/Shortest”, “Avoid Motorway”, “Avoid Ferry”,
“Avoid Toll Road” on on pages 86 to 87.
■Selecting the country where you want to search
Information on the disc is arranged according to each country. When searching for your desti-
nation, your Navigation System searches for it in the country currently selected. Therefore, if
your destination is in another country, you must change the country setting before starting the
destination search. (Once the country is selected, the Navigation System searches the destina-
tion from the data of this country until the setting is altered.)
Here, Address Search is given as an example:
1 From the Main menu, select “New Destination”, and then select “Address Search”.
2 Select “Country” and click the OK button.
3 Select the area you want to search, and click the OK button.
When you are returned to the initial display, proceed to the searching operation.
■Perform the route calculation of the several route options, and
select one
By combining several searching conditions, you can get route calculations of six route
options to your destination. After route options are calculated, select the one you want.
1 Change the setting of “Route No.” in “Settings” menu.
For the details of the method of changing the setting, see “Modifying the Default Settings”
on page 85 and “Route No.” on page 86.
2 Search your destination and set the route.
3 Select “Route Select” and click the OK button.
The next route option appears. Repeat this procedure until the route you want to take
appears.
