Use flywheel stopper MB996015 to hold the flywheel during
removal.

FLYWHEEL RING GEAR REMOVAL
(1) Examine the flywheel ringgear

fordamage andabnormal
wear and replace if necessary.
(2) Heat the flywheel ring gear
2
evenly with an oxyacetylene
torch, or a similar device for applying heat locally, and
then remove the ring gear by tapping around its entire
circumference.
