(1) Fit valve spring compressor MB996014 on the cylinder
head

(2) Press down the valve spring retainer

Remove the seal

with valve stem seal remover MB996021.

VALVE GUIDE REMOVAL
(1) Support the cylinder head

(2) Press o ut the valve guides

towards the valve seat
with valve guide remover MB996020.

VALVE SEAT REMOVAL
(1) Cut two recesses in the valve seats

. The recesses
are cut in order to lower the tension in the valve seat.
(2) Break the valve seat into pieces with the aid of a cold
chisel.
