Interior rearview mirror
Bright light from behind could be reflected in
the rearview mirror and dazzle the driver. Use
dimming when disturbed by light from be-
hind.
Dipping

3. Dimmed position.
Automatic dimming (option)
Bright light from behind is automatically
dimmed by the rearview mirror. The control
(1) is not available in mirrors with automatic
dimming.
Interior rearview mirror with compass
(option on certain markets)
The upper right-hand corner of the rearview
mirror has an integrated display that shows
the compass direction in which the front of
the car is pointing. Eight different directions
are shown with English abbreviations:
N (north), NE (north east), E (east), SE (south
east),
S (south), SW (south west), W (west)
and
NW (north west).
Calibrating the compass
The earth is divided into 15 magnetic zones.
The compass is set for the geographical area
to which the car was delivered. The compass
should be calibrated if the car is moved
across several magnetic zones.
Stop the car in a wide open area with the
engine running at idling speed.
Press and hold button (1) for at least
6 seconds. Following which, the
character
C is shown (the button is con-
cealed so use a paper clip for example to
press it in).
Press and hold button (1) for at least
3 seconds. The number for the current
magnetic zone is displayed.
