Driveintoyourcomputerthecomputershouldrecognizethedriveinafewsecondsandgiveyouthe
optiontoviewthefiles.WindowswillopentheWindowsExplorer(MyComputer)programand
displaythefilesontheUSBFlashDrive.Youcanthencopythefilesontoyourcomputer’sharddrive.
Werecommendcopyingtheflightlogsintoa“MyDocuments/Flights”folder.
5.2 TransferringWaypointandAirspaceFilesfromthePCtotheClearNav
AUSBFlashDriveisusedtotransferfilesfromyourhomeorlaptopcomputertotheClearNav.You
willwanttotransferwaypointandairspacefilesforyourregiontotheClearNavbeforeusingitforthe
firsttime,andeverytimeyoubringittoanewsoaringsite.TheClearNavcanstorewaypointand
airspacefilesformanysoaringsitesinitsinternalmemory.Creatingordownloadingwaypointfilesand
airspacefilesiscoveredintheWaypointFiles
andAirspaceFilessections.
5.2.1 TransferringWaypointandAirspaceFilesfromyourComputertotheUSBFlash
Drive
ThefirststepistotransferthedesiredfilesfromyourcomputertotheUSBFlashDrive.Whenyouplug
theUSBFlashDriveintoyourcomputerthecomputershouldrecognizethedriveinafewsecondsand
giveyoutheoptionto“OpenFoldertoviewfileswithWindowsExplorer”.ClickOK.Windowswill
thenopentheWindowsExplorer(MyComputer)programanddisplaythefiles
ontheUSBFlashDrive.
